Light Bulb Web Design Blog
Spotlight on...Sharon Howat from FM Cosmetics World
"I was recommended to contact Light Bulb Web Design as a new provider for my website as I was having problems with my previous website provider in that when I was asking for help and answers to questions about my website, I was not getting it. I have never looked back since transferring my site to Chris; if I need help or a new product brochure added to my website it's done within the day and if I need any answers to a question on how my online shop works, they are answered.
The minute he moved my website over to his server he got to work with changing the website design and more crucially, he made it mobile friendly (responsive). Chris then suggested I integrate my FM team training website and linked to my main website as this would make it a ‘one stop shop’ for customers and team members alike and it does, once you go on my website you don’t need to leave it and can access my YouTube channel, Podcasts, Blog and much more, all in once place. At the start I was running my blog on another site and now that it’s merged onto my website I have found my sales and team members have increased dramatically as I can create content in one place and share my links with everyone and everywhere in the world!
I can’t thank Chris enough for his expert advice and web experience as this has pushed my business so much further than I ever imagined and in such a short space of time, my main business is online and via social media. Since my website has everything in ‘one place’ the links and searches people type into the search engines to find me and my products have helped me climb to the top of many of them and my blog is getting more views than I ever could have imagined. Linking all my platforms onto my home page makes me accessible to everyone, I can gain customers and followers anywhere and anytime now and my site is just growing from strength to strength.
If you are not putting all your products, contacts and social platforms into one place (your website) then you are missing a lot of big business and the referrals it can bring to you - that is what having a website is all about, an extension of you and your business."
Sharon has really made the most of her website since we created it for her in the middle of 2014. Integrating her blog and product Wish List into the website itself has proved how well these features work to improve search engine rankings through fresh and relevant content being easily added on a regular basis, which Sharon has certainly done! She now ranks 2nd on page 1 of Google for a number of FM-based terms, over-shadowed only by the official UK FM website!
